Using status E for to declare the designated representative’s hours

Status E is specifically designed for people acting as a company’s designated representative (DESR).

Why use status E?

Status E is used to:

  • Declare the DESR’s hours in compliance with the applicable rules
  • Contribute to social benefits, if desired
  • Avoid difficulties when filing the monthly report

Certain specific situations may require a different status, but in general the appropriate status is status E.

To see all the important changes made to the monthly report since the January 2026 period, read this article.

Verification of the DESR’s registration

Before declaring hours under status E, it is essential that the person be officially registered as designated representative in the company’s file.

The verification can be done online, in the online services, under “Mon organisation,” then “Autorisations et relations,” and then “Représentant(e) désigné(e).”

If the person is not registered or a change must be made, fill out the registration form and transmit the document directly into your online file by clicking on the Catalogue de services tab, then on Nous joindre and Nous contacter.

The modification or addition of a DESR in the company’s file is, exceptionally, free of charge.

Calculation of contributions and holidays

The new version of the monthly report platform makes some calculations automatically.

However, when status E is used:

  • The amounts in the boxes related to contributory wages and to vacations/holidays must be entered manually.
  • These amounts may be based on the pay slip.

If an adjustment must be made, the amounts may be changed until the 15th day of the following transmission period, like all amendments, without interest or penalty.
