Reinforcing Steel Erector Examination - Applicable untill January 15

The examination is 3 hours long. It contains 60 questions and each question ia worth 1 point. The required passing grade is 60%. The materials for your use during the examination are provided to you. They are: a pencil, a paper sheet, a calculator and an eraser. No other material or reference document is allowed during the examination.

Skill content on which questions may be based

Section 1 - Participation in site mobilization (25%)

  • Understanding working and safety instructions
  • Handling materials
  • Installing equipment

Section 2 - Construction and installation of reinforcing steel elements (55%)

  • Understanding lines, levels, and templates
  • Marking elements
  • Placing supports, spacers, reinforcing bars, stirrups, and wire mesh
  • Attaching reinforcing steel and wire mesh
  • Strengthening the reinforcing steel structure for rigging
  • Checking the assembly
  • Constructing an element with a post-tensioning system

Section 3 - Modification and preparation (20 %)

  • Adjusting reinforcing steel bars
  • Joining reinforcing steel bars
  • Welding reinforcing steel bars
