The registration period for the Cours de connaissance générale de l’industrie de la construction (CCGIC) will take place from February 2 to 13, 2026, inclusive.

This registration period is addressed to individuals who wish to obtain a competency certificate for the specialized occupation for which they hold a diploma, among them:

• Welder
• Pipe welder (high pressure)

Please note that qualified line worker candidates, as well as blasters and drillers, survey instrument attendants, and divers, as well as those who have entered as well as individuals who have entered the industry according to the state of the labour pools, do not have to register for the CCGIC to obtain a first occupation competency certificate (OCC). However, to renew their OCC, they must, within their training obligation period, pass the CCGIC, which is divided into two distinct training periods.
