As part of the 2025 edition of the Hats off to you! competition , the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) has awarded two Mixité en chantier prizes—Future travailleuse and Future entrepreneure—each featuring a $2,500 scholarship, and one Mentorat prize accompanied by a $5,000 scholarship.

Centre de services scolaire des Affluents

Winner of the 2025 Mixité en chantier – Mentorat award

This award recognizes public educational institutions that contribute to greater gender diversity on construction sites in Québec.

Centre de formation en montage de lignes
Centre de services scolaire des Navigateurs

The Centre de formation en montage de lignes encourages achievement and perseverance among its female students in programs, traditionally attended by men, leading to a trade or an occupation in the construction sector. This year, the centre stood out for the exchanges it arranged between a woman line worker and the female students and for support meetings hosted by one of the centre’s specialized instructors.

To promote their physical well-being, the female students benefited from a one-year membership in a sports centre that includes a rock-climbing complex, enabling them to stay in shape throughout their training. With the $5,000 that accompanies this award, the centre will create an innovative project to encourage them to enrol in initial training: an immersive day titled “Mixte ton talent,” in which the participants will get to have a unique experience as a line worker.

A winning partnership

The CCQ is always so proud of its ongoing relationship with the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur as part of the Hats off to you! competition, which shines the spotlight on female role models and institutions with a positive influence on women and men in the construction industry.

The CCQ wishes to congratulate the three winners as well as the female students and educational institutions who applied. Thank you for your exemplary dedication—you are great role models and sources of inspiration!
