Procedure to follow for the reissuance of an unreceived vacation cheque

You do NOT have to call us or go to one of our offices. You simply have to send your request via the “Contactez-nous” form.

Important: First of all, make sure to identify yourself as a “salarié(e) ou retraité(e).” Then go to the “Question/commentaire” section of the form and select the subject “Chèque de congés payés.” Finally, specify that you want your cheque to be reissued in the field “Question ou commentaire.”

The CCQ will send you another cheque by messenger service.

Requests will be processed within 15 working days. To make sure that your cheque is sent out before the beginning of the annual winter vacation, you must make your request by December 1, 2024.

If you make your request after December 1, we cannot guarantee when the reissued cheque will be received, and it will be delivered after the annual winter vacation.

Note: If you register for direct deposit, you’ll be able to receive the next vacation pay instalment directly in your account. However, it is impossible to change the payment method for the November 2024 payment.

As we remember, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) announced last week that it has sent out the vacation cheques early in anticipation of potential service disruptions at Canada Post. Since then, a labour conflict at Canada Post has led to a complete halt of postal service.
