Survey – Employers’ anticipation of activity and recruitment difficulties

The share of employers in the construction industry anticipating an increase in volume of work in coming months has dropped, according to a survey conducted by the CCQ this spring.

The survey also reveals that hiring difficulties have decreased since last fall. Indeed, for the first time since the survey was launched, the greatest obstacle encountered by employers is no longer the difficulty with hiring workers (50%) but the quality of workers (53%), a sign that the pressure is gradually abating.

This survey, conducted twice a year, aims to gather opinions of employers in the construction industry regarding future activity and recruitment difficulties.
