Despite the current economic context, 2023 began with growth in the construction industry: 40.5 million hours worked were recorded in the first quarter, a rise of 5.3% compared to last year.

New workers in construction
To respond to the high level of demand, the industry welcomed 20,400 new workers in 2022, including 4,600 graduates. Over the last ten years, about 5,000 graduates have begun to work on construction sites per year. To respond to increased demand, the industry has had to find non-graduate workers to meet its needs.
