In an announcement made on Wednesday, January 6, the government of Québec indicated that the construction industry can continue its activities. It asks the industry, however, to reduce its activities to a minimum to ensure that current commitments are met.

It is important to note that it is not up to the CCQ to determine whether activities on construction sites are authorized or not due to COVID-19. No provision in the statute that it administers (Act R-20) grants it such powers.
