The government of Québec is launching the 2019 edition of the competition Hats Off to You!, which aims to promote diversification of young women’s choice of career and encourage them to persevere until they obtain their diploma in a traditionally male trade.

The CCQ is proud to be associated with the competition once again this year and is increasing the amount of both of its Mixité en chantier grants – “Future Worker” and “Future Contractor” section – from $2,000 to $2,500.

Since 2012, more than $24,000 has been awarded to pioneering women who have chosen a nontraditional trade. Today, more than half of these recipients are still working in the construction industry.
