A one-of-a-kind professional training centre

This year, the Mixité en chantier - Mentorat prize, along with a $3,000 grant, was awarded to the Centre de formation professionnelle (CFP) de Jonquière. This award recognizes public educational institutions that contribute to greater gender diversity on Québec construction sites.

The Centre’s involvement has encouraged female students to enroll in construction-related programs, namely by providing them with a rewarding sense of belonging. In addition, by proactively organizing activities such as group dinners and individual coaching, everything has been done to give female students opportunities to consolidate their network of contacts and break any isolation they may experience. Congratulations on all your initiatives!

A winning partnership

The CCQ is particularly proud of its ongoing relationship with the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur and the Hats off to you! contest, which showcases the unique and exceptional career paths of women who choose to work in a profession traditionally considered the domain of men.

The CCQ wishes to congratulate the two winners and the CFP de Jonquière, as well as all the female students and educational institutions that entered the competition. Thank you for your outstanding perseverance—you are inspiring role models for girls and women and will be for generations to come.
