New measures announced – no impact on construction sites over the holiday period

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Québec has announced new measures that will be in effect between December 17, 2020, and January 10, 2021, inclusive.

Therefore, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) confirms that no closures of construction sites are planned for this period except for those already established by the collective agreements, if applicable. Nor will there be any impact on the CCQ, whose offices will be closed from December 18, 2020, at 4:30 pm, to January 3, 2021, inclusive:

Inspection service

To comply with the collective agreements, the law, and the regulations during this period, it will be possible to report situations of non-compliance at all times. To do this, you can:

  • Fill out the online form, at signalement.ccq.org
  • Make a report by telephone, at 514 593-3132 or 1 800 424-3512

Customer Services 

Even though Customer Services is closed during this period, a great deal of information is available at ccq.org. You will also be able to use the online services

Carnet référence construction

The “Carnet référence construction” online service will remain accessible throughout the annual holiday. For employers, however, the customized referral service will not be available during this period. All “Customized Referral” requests submitted during this period will be processed starting Monday, January 4, 2021.

Notice of hiring and termination

The online service will remain available for submitting a notice of hiring or termination. If a notice of hiring requires any supplementary verifications, the request will be transferred for processing and a information feedback will be sent by the online service by January 6, 2021. Although the confirmation number will be issued when our offices open, the CCQ will keep track of the capture date.

Labour pools

The labour pools will be closed from December 18, 2020, to January 4, 2021. It will be possible to consult the labour pools again starting January 5, 2021.
