On June 19th, the Tribunal administratif du travail rendered a decision on a petition for removal submitted by the CCQ, concerning the Regulation Respecting Complementary Social Benefit Plans in the Construction Industry.

This judgment concerns the possibility for members of the construction industry pension plan to benefit from partial retirement, under certain conditions, upon becoming eligible.

The Commission de la construction intends to comply with the judgment. It is presently developing the measures to be implemented by way of a follow-up. In addition, the Construction Industry Social Benefits Committee has been notified of the situation and will address the issue at its next meeting.
