The government has confirmed the construction workers’ vacation dates for 2017

Dominique Vien, the minister responsible for labour, the minister responsible for the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the MNA for Bellechasse, has determined by ministerial order that, between now and October 30, the construction holidays and vacations are those scheduled on the calendar proposed by the Commission de la construction du Québec in September 2016.

This means, in particular, that the paid statutory holidays for the Fête Nationale du Québec (Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day) and Canada Day are on June 23 and 30, 2017, respectively. As for the summer construction vacation period, it will extend from July 23 to August 5, 2017.
