September 11, 2026 – Most of the services of the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) are now re-established.Our teams are continuing to process the requests and applications received during the service interruption and to make up the delays that may have accumulated in certain sectors

Although most of our services have returned to normal, some clienteles may still experience delays in obtaining services. We thank them for their patience and comprehension.

We know that this interruption has had impacts on many people. Restoring our services securely in less than two weeks was, however, a major challenge. Thanks to the work of our teams and the safeguards already in place, we were able to return our services to operation quickly and securely.

Evolution of the investigation and external audit

The investigation that began on August 24 is progressing well. It has enabled us to confirm that the incident was not connected to the Chantier numériccq, to identify the vulnerability that was exploited, and to fix it. This work also made it possible to restore our services and systems securely.

As we mentioned in our recent communications, we are taking every measure necessary for all the people concerned by the incident to benefit from the protections we announced. Our verifications now enable us to identify other people affected. They will therefore be contacted directly in the coming weeks so that they can take advantage of the protections offered by Equifax.

Although this step is a major milestone, our work will continue over coming weeks. The CCQ will mandate an independent expert to perform an external audit of its practices. We are committed to implementing the recommendations that will result from this exercise.

We will also continue to keep our clienteles and our partners informed of the next steps that are taken.
