The Service de formation aux entreprises (SFAE) can also guide employers with developing custom training that meets their specific needs.

This is the slogan (in French only) for the new campaign promoting upgrading activities. To bring the campaign to life, Compétences Construction turned to the exceptional talent of Ron Fournier, who lent his voice, his energy, and his famous sense of humour to the initiative. In an authentic and unifying style, he sends a clear message: an investment in developing your skills is an investment in your professional future and in your team’s performance.

The very first directory under the Compétences Construction name

The Répertoire des activités de perfectionnement 2026-2027 is especially significant because it is the first to be published under the banner of Compétences Construction. As we recall, the Fiers et compétents program officially became Compétences Construction on April 2, 2026, thus asserting its renewed commitment to the development, upgrading, and recognition of the skills of the construction industry’s workforce. This new identity is accompanied by a training offer that is, as always, rich and diversified, designed to help workers to rise to the challenges of an industry in constant evolution.

A campaign based on real needs

Throughout the year, the Commission de la construction du Québec works to develop the skills of the industry’s workforce in collaboration with numerous partners, including the employer and union associations. The needs expressed by the industry during consultations are used to formulate the training offer presented in the annual directory.

In addition to the free training courses offered throughout Québec, various incentives are accessible to workers, including coverage of certain travel and lodging expenses. These measures are made possible through the Fonds de formation des salariés de l’industrie de la construction (FFSIC).
