Hats Off to You!: Register by February 13, 2026

The government of Québec recently launched the 2026 edition of the Hats Off to You! competition. This competition shines a spotlight on the perseverance and achievement of women who register in a study program leading to a traditionally male trade.

As a partner in the event for more than 25 years, this year the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) has decided to offer a new award highlighting women’s innovative and sustainable practices in the industry. This $2,500 scholarship is added to the other two for the same amount, one of which celebrates First Nations and Inuit women and those representing the diversity of Québec society, and the other of which continues to highlight an inspiring future female worker.

Would you like to participate and be one of the positive role models, promoting the diversification of career choices and thus contributing to greater inclusion on construction sites? Register at www.quebec.ca/chapeaulesfilles.

Recognition for committed teaching establishments

As part of the Hats Off to You! gala, the CCQ has also been involved, since 2017, in handing out the “Mixité en chantier – Mentorat” award, accompanied by $5,000, to recognize the exemplary practices of a teaching establishment that has distinguished itself through its support and supervision activities to encourage the success and perseverance of female students. Applications for this award will be sent by email to eligible teaching establishments in early 2026.
