The Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) offers an exclusive service to companies. Training consultants are made available to them to respond to requests for specific training needs expressed by employers or by promotional officers.

The Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) offers an on-the-job training service (Service de formation aux entreprises, or SFAE) that enables employers to benefit from customized training courses that are aimed at developing their workers’ skills and that are not already listed in the Répertoire des activités de perfectionnement de l’industrie de la construction.

Training consultants are made available to respond to requests for specific training needs expressed by the employers themselves or by promotional agents working within employer or union associations.

The training courses are custom-designed in the light of needs expressed or are offered in a turnkey version, including the teaching resource and the materials required, directly in the company or at a training centre, and are adapted to comply as a function of the requester’s desired schedules, deadlines, and conditions.

Financing for training courses from the SFAE 

Training financing from the Training Fund for Employees in the Construction Industry (TFECI) may cover, for example, the organization’s costs for a training course including the teacher, raw materials, and equipment rentals. Eligible workers automatically receive the financial support to which they have the right if they have to travel.

Eligibility criteria

Companies registered with the CCQ must meet the eligibility criteria to take advantage of the SFAE:

• Company in existence for less than 24 months: 1,500 or more hours declared and CCQ levy paid since its creation
• Company in existence for more than 24 months: at least 4,000 work hours with CCQ levy paid in 24 of the last 26 months
