Tools for sustaining a healthy and inclusive industry
The CCQ is contributing to supporting a cultural change toward a healthier and more inclusive industry by offering a variety of tools that can be used by all partners in the industry.

Awareness campaign aiming to denounce discrimination, intimidation, and harassment in the construction sector.
The construction industry unites for healthy and inclusive work environments by presenting two videos:
- “Ouvrons les chantiers aux femmes, tout le monde y gagne”
- “Chantiers inclusifs pour la diversité, tout le monde y gagne”
These videos, featuring workers in the industry, encourage companies to adopt zero tolerance policies on construction sites.
Videos that deconstruct myths about women’s presence on construction sites
The 3 most widespread and persistent myths about women in the construction trades are illustrated in three short animated videos.
These myths were selected from the table of the 10 myths most often heard on construction sites, which can be found on the Web page mixite.ccq.org.

If you’d like to make your teams aware of gender diversity on construction sites, write to [email protected] for copies of these posters! It’s a simple way to demonstrate your determination to offer an inclusive work environment.
2017: “La mixité en chantier” - défi construction campaign – Hearing from children
In line with the slogan “Les mentalités évoluent, les chantiers aussi” (Minds are changing, and so are construction sites), this video features children taking on a construction challenge. By building a birdhouse together, Rosalie, Mathéo, Ines, and Noah show that each individual contributes a way of doing things and of thinking that enhances the work. The children’s words, free of prejudice and unscripted, are full of sensitivity and humour. They show the value of gender diversity on construction sites.

In 2018, the CCQ published a guide to gender-neutral writing for the PAEF in order to highlight this practice and provide the CCQ and its partners in the industry with a valuable tool.
