Changes to the office hours at the Commission de la construction du Québec’s regional offices will come into effect on September 17.

The CCQ launches a new video on the presence of women on construction sites

The Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) is launching the third phase of its campaign La mixité en chantier with a new video available for viewing at mixite.ccq.org.

A powerful video for more women on construction sites

With a dynamic pace and sounds familiar to construction sites, real workers, both men and women, from the industry’s different trades perform the same actions and manoeuvres under identical conditions. These strong images, which highlight the presence of women on construction sites, drive home the fact that, woman or man, it’s the skills that count.

Today, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) unveils its annual assessment of its equal access for women program, the Bilan annuel 2017 du Programme d’accès à l’égalité des femmes dans l’industrie de la construction (PAEF) 2015-2024 (available in French only) and the appendix that presents the achievements of the employer and union associations. Overall, the measures set out in the PAEF are well underway. All of the partners are working to bring their respective commitments to fruition.

Strike and pressure tactics by crane operators in the construction industry: The CCQ is watching

In recent days, the investigation teams of the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) have been alerted by a number of reports that confirm the organization of pressure tactics by crane operators, notably by refusing to work overtime, in order to cause work slow-downs. An illegal strike is also planned for sometime in June.

Plan d’action à l’égard des personnes handicapées : A positive assessment for 2017

Today, the first day of the Semaine québécoise des personnes handicapées, la Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) unveils its 2017 assessment of the Plan d’action à l’égard des personnes handicapées 2017-2018.

The plan is aimed at making the construction industry more inclusive and respectful of the needs of people with disabilities and their families, by targeting:

  • Workers, employers, and retirees in the construction industry
  • The general public seeking information on the industry or the services offered by the CCQ
  • CCQ employees

National Patriots' Day

The offices of the Commission de la construction du Québec will be open on National Patriots' Day, Monday, May 21.

Therefore, telephone services for the clientele and the regional offices will be open according to the usual schedule.

New for the industry’s journeymen and non-graduate crane operators

Regulatory modifications in the trade of crane operator, published today in the Gazette officielle du Québec, will soon come into effect. Cooperation and partnership between the Mohawks of Kahnawake and the Quebec construction industry

Kahnawake, March 2, 2018 – A new partnership is underway between the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ), the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK), and Tewatohnhi'saktha to assist Mohawk workers to successfully integrate into the Quebec construction industry.
