The CCQ stands out again for durable transportation!

October 5, 2015

At the Déjeuner Leaders en transport durable 2015, which took place on September 30 at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Diane Lemieux received, on behalf of the CCQ, the Leaders award in the Continuité category for the measures that the organization has implemented to increase employees’ use of active and public modes of transportation. This is the second time that the CCQ has received this award.

“To begin with, it must be noted that we had a major parking issue to solve, as do many other Montréal organizations, and so we were forced to come up with creative solutions,” Ms. Lemieux told the gathering of Montreal business people. “Durable transportation therefore became a priority for the CCQ. Today, we are obtaining concrete results with our program, especially through participation in activities such as the Défi sans auto-solo 2015. This has led to a successful change in organizational culture.”

Since the CCQ’s last durable transportation report was produced, the proportion of solo car use has dropped by 9%, taking it below the 60% threshold. The CCQ would like to emphasize the commitment of all employees who decided to change their transportation habits to help reach these objectives.
