Review of activity in the construction industry – second quarter 2015

October 2, 2015

“The decline continued in the construction industry falling under Act R-20, but less steeply than at the beginning of the year. In the second quarter of 2015, a drop of 6% compared to the same period in 2014 brought the volume of work to 37.1 million hours. The number of employees on construction sites stood at 103,000 during the quarter, a reduction of 3.5% from the year before. Only the institutional and commercial sector gained strength, whereas the industrial, civil engineering and roadwork, and residential sectors saw a fallback in volume of work.”
