How to obtain the water system worker certification from the CCQ

To enable construction workers to meet the new regulatory requirements concerning drinking water systems, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) offers the course Révision des notions pour la certification manœuvre à l'aqueduc since March 2007. This 30-hour course is for workers who already hold an occupation competency certificate (OCC) and who have the prerequisite and meet the eligibility conditions for the construction industry’s training fund.

Previously, Emploi-Québec was responsible for issuing and renewing water systems worker certification to people who passed the course. However, this responsibility was transferred to the CCQ on March 8, 2012. Please note that Emploi-Québec remains the only agency responsible for the issuing and renewal of all other drinking water operator certifications.
