Launch of the 2016–17 Fiers et compétents advertising campaign

August 31, 2016

Let’s talk training with Réal!

The Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ), in collaboration with the construction industry’s employer and union associations, is launching the third section of its Une expertise, ça se construit advertising campaign. The campaign encourages workers and employers to upgrade their skills by participating in the training courses on offer. In 2016–17, the Répertoire des activités de perfectionnement includes almost 500 courses.

Again this year, humourist Réal Béland steps into the world of construction. He will go on-site to chat with experienced trainers at a training centre and find out about the upgrading activities offered. In addition, throughout the year, Réal will give us monthly advice in short fun yet informative video capsules, aired exclusively on the Fiers et compétents Facebook page.
The campaign will again be deployed on the Web, notably on the site fiersetcompetents.com – made over to match the campaign image – which will serve as a platform to promote upgrading of the construction industry’s workforce.

There were over 24,000 participations in upgrading activities in 2015–16. This success has been the result of the goodwill and concerted effort of the partners in the construction industry over more than 30 years.
