*Methodology:
The need for workers by trade falls into five categories (very low, fairly low, fairly high, high, and very high) according to results in five parameters.
(1) Forecast annual average growth in volume of work from 2016 to 2019.
(2) Average availability rate (a measurement of unemployment) in June 2016, for holders of competency certificates (apprentices, journeymen, occupation workers), according to the CCQ’s records.
(3) Unemployment rate of new graduates, in June 2013, according to La Relance au secondaire en formation professionnelle, a survey conducted by the Ministère de l’Éducation, de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche.
(4) Forecast erosion rate (net departures before integration of new workers), according to the CCQ’s records.
(5) Proportion of employees aged 55 years and older in 2015, according to the CCQ’s records.
