Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship in a trade in the construction industry is calculated in terms of hours of vocational training and upgrading as well as hours of work spent practising the trade. The apprenticeship is divided into apprenticeship periods of 2,000 hours each. The number of periods varies by trade.

People who become apprentices in Quebec can also have their training and work experience recognized in order to be properly classified in their apprenticeship. Click here for more information.
